New Church

I don't post much anymore, and it's not because there isn't stuff going on, it's because I don't have time. The month of October has been spent writing papers and just trying to get through every day without getting sick or burnt out. 4 papers are/were due in the month of October 3 of which are thankfully completed. I'm about to start the 4th one after I finish this blog post. Then I have 1 paper, a matrix, and some research due in the month of November, and mostly all in the beginning of the month so November should calm down and i can finally clear my head and enjoy the holidays.

I started going to a new church if I didn't post about it already. It was a hard decision because I do have a history with the church i was going to previously, it was the first church i went to when i first moved to North Carolina and I got pretty involved and developed some great relationships. But, recently I've felt like my growth has slowed and going to the church seemed to be more of a requirement than wanting to go and being excited to go. So after much thought and prayer I decided to try a contemporary Nazarene church i had seen a few months ago, and I love it. The church is more contemporary than i'm used to but it's speaking to me in ways i've never been spoken to before. I'm learning and growing so much more in my relationship with Christ and finding that there are more ways i can serve this church more so than my old one. My new church is so focused on the community and is excited that i am in the social work profession because I can contribute some great ideas for how to assist the community. I feel important and like I've finally found where God wants me for the time being.

I also love the sermons they are so intriguing and I've been able to apply them to my life more so than any other sermon I've had growing up! I'm actually super sad that I am missing church this week (I woke up feeling achey and pukey figured it would best to stay home and rest so as not to be sick this week) and I can't wait to be back next week to learn more about relationships, the sermon series we are doing right now (aka THE BIG BANG THEORY!). Please pray that God continues to bless my new church and myself as I embark on this new journey, I'm so excited and I'm hopeful that I will have so many great things to share with you in the coming months and years as I get connected with this new church.

That's pretty much it for right now. Hope all is well for anyone who reads this.
